A Year Later, Hades Is Still the Best

Dang, I’m posting this pretty late, huh? I wish I had a good excuse, but I don’t. You know what I do have? Hades, by Supergiant Games.

I’m sure that Hades needs no introduction; it came out around this time last year and immediately took the the world by storm. A roguelike with countless avenues of persistent progression and a focus on narrative (a rarity for the genre), Hades delivers an engaging story, beautiful art, and fun-as-hell combat.

It’s been a while since I picked up the game, but it popped into my head the other day and wouldn’t leave. To my delight, it was easy to jump right back in and start slapping around the denizens of the underworld again like I’d never left.

And… that’s really it. I don’t know, I don’t have a lot to say here. Hades is, like, really good. Go play it! It’s on GamePass now!

I know these blog posts have been getting progressively lazier, and I apologize for that. Work really burnt me out last week and I sort of forgot for most of today (my day off) that I needed to write something. Now it’s late, and I just… don’t have a lot to say today.

As I’ve alluded to before, I am planning on an overhaul that will make this place more interesting again, but it’s taking me some time to set up. I hope you can be patient for a bit longer! And in the meantime–it’s almost October. I promise I’ll have some good spooky-themed content next month!
