Hey, so, guess who felt so yucky yesterday that they wrote this up and then forgot to post it? Oops!
Alright, so, I held off on writing this post ahead of time because I intended to write it about the third session of my current campaign, which I just held last night. Spoilers: it was good! However, now it’s Thursday afternoon, I’m behind on work, and I have an absolutely splitting headache. Also, if I can level with folks for a second, it has not been a great week from a mental health perspective. With that in mind, I’m just going to keep this short.
I did indeed run a game last night and it was a lot of fun. It involved gremlins and magical forest spirits and a dog with a sensitive nose. I’ll write about next week, I’m sure.
I also bought Secrets of Magic, which I’m frankly over the moon about. I haven’t had as much time to read it as I’d like, but what I’ve seen so far has been amazing. I managed to get all the way through the Magus class, at least, and wow—I love it. The fine folks at Paizo have done a beautiful job bringing the class into 2E and I’m really excited to make one someday! I’ve also taken a quick peek at Summoner and am really digging it so far. I’ll probably write up a more in-depth discussion of the book next week or the week after, but for the moment: buy it. Seriously. It’s amazing. My players have been checking it out, too, and are equally excited about it.
Honestly, the only other thing I have going on right now is that I’ve fallen down a comics rabbit hole, as happens from time to time. I’ve been watching Harley Quinn (it’s great) and playing Marvel’s Avengers (it’s great) and reading old issues of Robin (it’s pretty good). Why am I reading old issues of Robin, you ask? Well, you’ll find out in a few months! Hopefully. We’ll see. It might be a bit longer than that.
Anyway, I think I’m going to wrap things up there for the time being because my head is still killing me. Thanks for stopping by, though!
